Do you want to make your home more cozy, inviting, and well, just more…”you”, but have no idea where to start? Looking for ways to infuse your personality into your living spaces? Look no further…I’ve compiled a list of affordable, chic ways to solve your decor dilemmas and create a big bang for your buck. Your wallet – and your family- will thank you!
Monogram it. This is, perhaps, one of my favorite, and least expensive, ways to inject a personal touch to your home. Enliven pillow shams, kitchen and bath towels or print you and your hubby’s initials on card stock from A.C. Moore or Michaels and then frame it. Instant character!

Frame it. Your personal items are another easy way to add character to your home. Just about anything can be framed – post cards, letters from loved ones, your wedding invitation and even favorite objects. I have even framed sea fans my husband and I found on vacation a few years back.
Create a gallery wall. Display your favorite photos gallery-style, in picture frames of the same color. Group by theme – wedding, new baby, friends, family – or mix them all together. The frames below were less than $15 each from Target and came with the white mats.

Spray paint it. For less than $5 you can transform virtually anything in minutes with a can of spray paint. Picture frames, mirrors, furniture, lamps, curtain rods, planters, baskets and much more can be given a fresh, clean look with a coat of paint.
Walmart, Home Depot and Lowe’s all carry a vast array of colors and textures to choose from and all three carry cans of basic black and white for $1.
Go green-buy a houseplant. Houseplants clean the air, add a burst of color, add texture and height and are great space-fillers. Some varieties that require very little care are pothos, ferns, wedding veil and indoor palms.
